FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Texas lakes do you serve?

We build custom docks across Central and North Texas, with crews regularly working on Lake LBJ, Lake Travis, Lake Austin, Lake Buchanan, Lake Marble Falls, and Cedar Creek Lake. If your property is on a different Texas lake, give us a call β€” we often travel for the right project.

What is the difference between a stationary and a floating dock?

Stationary docks are anchored to the lakebed and sit at a fixed elevation β€” ideal for lakes with stable water levels and for homeowners who want a rock-solid concrete deck. Floating docks ride on steel flotation and move up and down with the water, which is essential on lakes where levels swing several feet. We build both, and we will recommend the right one after reviewing your shoreline.

How long does a custom dock project take?

Every project is different, but most new stationary docks take 6–12 weeks from permit to completion, and floating docks are typically 4–8 weeks. Renovations and add-ons can be faster. We lock timelines after the site visit so you know exactly what to expect.

Do you handle permits and HOA submittals?

Yes. LCRA permits on the Highland Lakes, individual lake authority submittals, and HOA architectural reviews are part of our standard scope. We prepare the engineered drawings, submit the paperwork, and keep you copied on every approval.

Can you renovate or repair my existing dock?

Absolutely. A large share of our work is additions, resurfacing, lift replacement, and structural repairs. We assess the existing framework, tell you what is salvageable, and lay out upgrade options β€” often you can keep the footprint and dramatically improve the deck, roof, or lifts.
